Welcome to my website.

Growing up with two brothers, watching and playing sports were a way of life. I also loved writing, filling book after book with stories about the adventures of a lady bug named Sophie. When it came time to start thinking about a career, one of my teachers suggested I sign up for a journalism class.

I’ve been hooked ever since.

I began my career in the newspaper industry, serving as the Assistant Sports Editor at the Oneida Daily Dispatch and a Page Designer/Copy Editor at the Observer-Dispatch in Utica.

After that, I shifted gears and moved into higher education, first as the Media Advisor at St. John Fisher University, then as an adjunct professor at Cazenovia College and The College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University.

But I missed writing. So, in 2019, I returned to the journalism industry, this time in the magazine space. For six years, I was Editor in Chief of Family Times, leading its transition from print to digital, and in late 2022, I was promoted to Managing Editor of Northeast Dairy Media.

Today, as the Government Relations Specialist at MACNY, The Manufacturers Association, I apply those same storytelling and communication skills to the world of advocacy.

I received my MA in Magazine, Newspaper and Online Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and BAs in Media and Communication Studies and Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County
